Activities of exhibition came to an end with a lecture of Health education program specialist at Supreme Council of Health Dr. Mamoon Rabee on ''Addiction and community". He stressed that addiction is one of the most dangerous issues faced by societies as it has negative effects on safety of community and its members. He also explained that addiction is a behavioral pattern that relies on psychotropic substance accompanied by rampant desire to obtain the consumed material continuously and likely to return to this behavior while trying to get rid of it. Otherwise it can be a condition of periodical or chronic poisoning as a result of continuous use of psychotropic substance, he continued.
He also pointed out the importance of advanced treatment to achieve better results of healing. Youths are the most vulnerable category to be trapped in drug chain as they are pressurized by their friends to accept them as part of the group and whenever some one try to be away from them, their pressure will be stronger and influence will be more. He concluded his lecture urging parents to be good example for their children.
