The Ministry of Interior in cooperation with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Riyadh started the "Special Training Course for Improving the Efficiency of the Higher Leadership" on Sunday 31/1/2010 morning at Police Training Institute in Doha.

26 Officers from different departments under the Ministry of Interior are taking part in the course, which will continue until 11/2/2010. The course is conducted by the Department of Special Programs at Training College of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

Brigadier. Mohamed Hassan Youssef Al Saie, Director of Police Training Institute, Major General Dr. Abbas Obushama Abdel Mahmoud, scientific supervisor of the session and head of police science section in the Naif university, Prof. Badr Bin Mohammed Amro, Head of special programs in the college, Colonel Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Marri, assistant director of Police Training Institute and a number of police officers attended the ceremony.

The course aims at introducing the importance of higher leadership and its significance in the security work, providing the participants with the functions and processes of knowledge management in the security field and educating the concepts of operations research and its significance for the leadership. Improving the skill of strategic security planning for leaders and consolidating the concepts of creative leadership in the security field are other objectives of the course.
