Strategic Planning Course for Police Officers Concludes

The "2nd Strategic Planning Course for Developing Leaders" organized by the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with TAMAS centre for studies and consultancies and in partnership with Saudi based International Centre for Law, Management and Training was concluded by a graduation ceremony on Thursday, 7/1/2010 morning at Police Training Institute in Doha.

25 officers from first lieutenant to captain ranks from different departments under the ministry of interior were graduated from the course, which continued until 7/1/2010.

Brig. Muhammed Hasan Al Sai, Director of Police Training Institute, Col. Muhammed Abdullah Al Murri, Assistant director of police training institute, course lecturers Staff Maj. Gen. (Rtrd.) Nasser Hamoud Al Absi, Course director, Maj. Gen. Turkey Al Subai, Director of TAMAS Centre, Brig. Ahmed Ali Al Shahri, Program director and Advisor. Nahar Dhaifullah Al Dalbahi from the International Centre for law, management and training attended the convocation ceremony.

Developing strategic ideas and innovation skills that qualify the second line leadership at Ministry of Interior to continue their professional performance maintaining quality standards was the objective of the course.

The course syllabus discussed about requirements for developing leaders in the shade of globalization and international changes, joint leadership roles and its organizational completion and strategic vision, roles, qualification and duties of a strategic leader and a lecture on national security and need of thinking while carrying out the mission and future challenges and how to tackle it. The course also included of a workshop.

At the end of the ceremony, Brig. Al Saie distributed certificates for course participants and a thanks and appreciation certificate for course lecturers. In the function, Major. Gen (Rtd) also presented a memento to the director of Police Training Institute.
