The Milipol Qatar committee under the Ministry of Interior announced yesterday its preparations for the 8th edition of the Milipol Qatar internal security exhibition which will be held from 25 to 27 October 2010 in Doha.

The preparations were disclosed in a press conference held at Al Bida auditorium of the ministry by Brig. Nasser Bin Fahad Al Thani, Head of Milipol Qatar Committee. The committee members Col. Ahmed Al Jamal , Director of Financial Affairs department and Col. Saud Al Shafi, Head of purchase section at interior ministry also attended the press conference.

Addressing the press conference, Brig. Nasser Bin Fahad Al Thani said " As all of us know that, the world financial crisis that effected many countries is going to an end keeping its negative impacts on many countries. The State of Qatar has overcome this crisis with less financial impacts, achieving the best ratio of financial development under the wise leadership of country. This has made the state a point of focus as an ideal investment environment and it encourages the specialized companies working in the internal security field to take part in the Milipol Qatar 2010 Exhibition".

According to the directives given by Minister of State for Interior Affairs H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Milipol Qatar committee has started the implementation of its media plan at national and international level with the aim of announcing the exhibition and projecting the activities of the committee during the coming period, said the committee chairman. In addition to this, the committee has also started the implementation of marketing strategy for the exhibition with the aim of inviting and attracting the specialized companies to take part in the 2010 Exhibition and searching for new markets through which, we can bring more specialized companies to the coming exhibition as well in addition to exhibiting the best and latest security products that will enable the visitors and decision makers to ink the contracts, he added.

In the framework of marketing plan, the Milipol Qatar committee has taken part in the Milipol Paris 2009 and the committee also will take part in many international specialized security exhibitions within coming period.

The Milipol Qatar chairman urged the organizations, establishments and national companies to support the 8th session of Milipol Qatar Exhibition and also invited all national and foreign concerned companies to take part in the exhibition as exhibitors.

Milipol Qatar, which was first launched in 1996, provides the ideal place for the most modern equipment in the field of internal security suppliers of security products and services and is organized annually, alternating between Paris and Doha.

At the end of the press conference, Brig. Nasser Al Thani urged the media to play a key role and to support the event to achieve the best-desired goals.
