One of the commercial services ships was sunk in the sea today, 30/6/2009 morning at 6.30 am while it was carrying out its normal mission at the entrance of Doha canal. The ship completely turned over and it was carrying 35 persons from different nationalities.

The concerned bodies and the diving teams immediately started its procedures that are carried out in the situations like this for rescuing the persons who were exposed for sinking because of the accident, despite of hard weather conditions such as wave raising and winds at the accident site. The rescue team could to save 5 persons alive and dead body of another victim.

The rescue team has been continuing the rescue operation until finishing the search operations about the missing persons and completing the investigation procedures about the accident.
