H. E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs and Chief of Internal Security Force (ISF) feted a number of officers and petty officers from different security departments on Thursday, 25/6/2009 morning.

Brig. Muhammed Abdul Azeez Al Athiyya, Deputy Chief of Internal Security Force and directors of various security agencies attended the honoring ceremony.

The honor was organized as an appreciation for those who took part in foiling the drug smuggling operation, carried out by the members of an international network from various nationalities. The gang members were arrested during their attempt to traffick more than 400 million drugged captagon pills into the country.

During the ceremony, H. E. The Minister of State for Interior Affairs hailed the efforts of the Drug Prevention Department and other security agencies who took part in the operation and he said "We are proud of this high professional performance that proved the adequacy and capability of the security personnel in Qatar". He also urged the feted members and other security staff working in different locations to continue their duties with more efforts and hard work in order to guarantee the maintenance of security and stability in the country.

The honor was organized on the sidelines of the convocation ceremony for ISF staff on the occasion of completing the training season. H. E. The Minister of State for Interior Affairs witnessed the convocation ceremony of a number of courses in which were completed by ISF officers and petty officers.
