Procedure for Using the Permit System by Independent Users
"Commercial Permit"


Permit System
The Web-based Permit System makes it available for applicants to request permits from the Prevention Department online; a matter that helps save a substantial amount of time and effort for those applicants.

System Features
The following are the most outstanding features of the Permit System:

• Submit applications for new permits
• Modify rejected applications
• Display application status
• Print applications
• Print issued permits

Applying for New Permits
To apply for a new permit, perform the following steps:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and type the following URL: (http://permit.moi.gov.qa/psaf).
2. Click "New" in the Commercial Permit menu.
3. Fill the form.
Note: An asterisk (*) indicates that the option is mandatory.
4. Attach the related files/forms by clicking the "Browse" button.
Attachments
• Maintenance contract for fire and alert systems
• Original copy of Company ID
• Copy of Commercial license
• Copy of the licensee personal ID
• Copy of lease or ownership
• Building sketches
5. Click the "Add" button.
Note: Use the Add button to add one file / form at a time.
6. To register your application, click "New Application". You will receive your application number.
7. Write down this Application Number and your ID for your reference and future correspondences.

Modifying Rejected Applications
To modify a rejected application, perform the following steps:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and type the following URL: (http://permit.moi.gov.qa/psaf).
2. Click "Modify Rejected Application" in the Commercial Permit menu.
3. Type your "ID" in the ID Number text box.
4. Enter your "Application No." in the Application No. text box.
5. Click the "Display" button.
6. Edit the information in the form.
7. Click the "Edit Application" button at the bottom of the form.


Checking Application Status
To check an application status, perform the following steps:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and type the following URL: (http://permit.moi.gov.qa/psaf).
2. Click "Display Application Status" in the Commercial Permit menu.
3. Enter your ID No. in the "ID Number" text box.
4. Click the "Find" button.
5. Select your application number.
6. Click the "Display" button. The status is displayed below the "Display Application Status" button.


Printing Applications
To print an application, perform the following steps:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and type the following URL: (http://permit.moi.gov.qa/psaf).
2. Click "Print Application" in the Commercial Permit menu.
3. Enter your ID No. in the "ID Number" text box.
4. Click the "Find" button.
5. Select your application number.
6. Click the "Display" button.
7. Click the "Print Application" button to print the application form. The application form is displayed on a new Internet Explorer page.
8. Click the "Print" button from the File menu.


Printing Permits
To print an issued permit, perform the following steps:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and type the following URL: (http://permit.moi.gov.qa/psaf).
2. Click "Print Permit" in the Commercial Permit menu.
3. Enter your ID No.
4. Click the "Find" button.
5. Select your application number.
6. Click the "Display" button.
7. Click the "Print Permit" button.
