Entertainment City (the

theater and a cafeteria. It opens from 4 pm to
11 pm from Sunday through Friday. Mondays and
Wednesdays are dedicated exclusively for ladies
and children under 12.

The Zoo:
The zoo lies 20 km from
Doha on Salwa Road. It has a varied collection
of animals, reptiles and birds as well as a mini
amusement park for children. The zoo opens from
3 pm to 7 pm and closes on Saturdays.

Al- Rumaila Park:
This park lies on Doha
Corniche. It has grass areas, children rides, a
popular market and restaurants. It opens around
the clock and entrance is free of charge.

Dahl El-Hamam Public Park:
Situated in KHhalifa Al-Shamalia,
this public park contains several green lawns,
passages for walking in addition to playgrounds
for children. It is open for families free of
charges.

Khor Al Udaid Beach:
This beach lies on the
southeastern most part of the country, 78 km
from Doha. This beautiful beach is distinguished
by its fine sand dunes that can be as high as 40
meters in some locations. Other fine beaches
include Fuwairit, Dukhan and others.
Al Jassasiya:
Al Jassasiya is a range
of rocky hills overlooking the northeastern
coast of the country between the two villages of
Al Huwailah and Fuwairit. They are famous for
their numerous stone carvings and engravings,
some of which date back to prehistoric times.
Al Maha Sanctuary:
This tourist attraction is
established to protect Al Maha (oryx) the
endangered desert antelope.
Doha Golf Club
Nothing reflects
the natural beauty and diverse landscape of
Qatar more than Doha Golf Club. Designed by
Peter Harradine and unveiled in 1997, the
7355-yard 18-hole Championship Course and
floodlit 9-hole Academy Course provide a variety
of challenges that will appeal to both the
novice golfer and the seasoned professional. 8
strategically positioned lakes, 65 giant cacti,
numerous imposing limestone rock formations and
an abundance of lush and lengthy green fairways
present a startling contrast to the desert that
lies beyond. Doha Golf Club is home to the
annual European and Asian PGA Tour Qatar Masters
with Doha's Championship Course proving to be
one of the longest par 72 courses on the tour.
The Perl Project
The Pearl-Qatar is a

North Beach Project
The Northern
Beach Project locates in the coast on the
northern side of the Ritz Calton Hotel in the
area of 32 kms square completing the Gulf Pearl
Project. The venture will consist of special
recreation utilities for families, attracting
the visitors and the residents in the day time.
Desert Safaris
The tour operators with wide
experience in organizing desert safaris in Qatar
offer tourists an opportunity to unravel the
mysteries of the desert and sand dunes on a four
wheel drive driven by a highly experienced
driver. The tourist can reach to the height of
60 meters climbing on the sand dunes at sea

Traditional Market (Souq Waqif)
The traditional markets are
located in the centre of the city and are open
from the morning till noon and most of them are
closed from 1'oclock until 4'oclock. In the
evening, this market is opened until 10'oclock.
The tourist can purchase various kinds of
traditional goods like handicrafts, handmade
perfumes, spices, gold, dress materials, swords
and poniards. The traditional markets have a
wide range of traditional restaurants.
Markets in the middle of the city
Falah, Al Aseeri, Al Jabr, Al
Deirah are the main markets in the middle of the
city.
These markets opened both in the morning and
evening sell mostly the dress materials and
readymade dresses in addition to other electronic devices.

Landmark mall, Hayat Plaza, Royal Plaza, The
Mall, The Centre, Al Mana centre, Al Muftah
centre, Al Salam Plaza, Blue Saloon, Lulu
